Social Inclusion |

Following the recent Making Music Together project, which studied how amateur music groups could get more involved in their local communities - particularly in relation to social inclusion and community cohesion activities, things are beginning to happen around the country:
- in the South West: working towards creating projects with rural communities and their elders
- in the North West: music with offenders and those at risk of offending
- in Scotland: music in hospitals and as a medically recognized form of stress relief
All of these projects will be replicable pretty much anywhere and more information should be available soon on their progress and results.
Recent and ongoing work:
- in the South East: The Silver Song Clubs
- in London: Tales from The Bush; a music theatre project in conjunction with Notting Hill Housing's Elgin Close Resource Centre
- in the North East: 20,000 Voices work with a wide range of community choirs.

Prospective partners in this area include:
- Cardboard Citizens work with homeless clients across London and beyond
- Historic Royal Palaces do a variety of outreach work in the communities around their palaces
- 1stFramework is known for its cross-art-form work performed in unconventional surroundings and specialise in inter-generational projects
