Making Music Office volunteers |
|
 |
 |
Like many organisations, we are heavily dependent on the work of volunteers to keep some of the operations going. We are grateful to all of our volunteers for their dedication and commitment, but in particular we would like to mention the following people, who more or less single-handedly run services for and on behalf of the members:
Glynne Stackhouse, Awards Administrator
Glynne looks after our Philip & Dorothy Green Award for Young Concert Artists. From admitting candidates to the scheme, to booking engagements between artists and MM member organisations, Glynne takes care of the day to day administration and makes sure this programme runs smoothly. He is also Concert Organiser for Wallingford Chameleon Arts and has many years of experience in liaising between promoters and artists.
Martin Sproat, Website Editor
Martin is our volunteer website editor, proof reading new web pages and correcting them, updating pages and repairing broken links and other errors. Last year he developed the new "standard size" logos for webmasters in MM groups to use on their sites in order to help provide a common look and feel between sites. He is currently in the midst of making the changes for the new look of the site - handling changes in typography, graphics and page colours to improve the accessibility and look of the website.
Martin sings bass with Stevenage Choral Society and is also the webmaster for their site. He studied German some years ago but keeps the language skill alive with membership of a German conversation group in Letchworth and town twinning activities with Stevenage's twin towns of Autun (France) and Ingelheim (Germany).
Martin Jones and Tessa and William Gould, Programme Notebank Administrators
Looking for that elusive programme note? No time to write one, no money to get one commissioned? Tessa and William can help. They are responsible for the running of the Programme Notebank, which can also now be found in the Members Area of the website. Martin is responsible for editing and formatting notes and loading them onto the website for use by members.
