Making Music Series:-
Amateur groups perform in the Southbank Centre
  Southbank showcases voluntary music
Ten member groups are performing at the Southbank Centre (SBC) as part of the Making Music Series within its season-long Bernstein Project, thanks to a new partnership with one of London's leading arts venues. Making Music London Development Officers Tom Hammond and Heather Tomala have been working closely with SBC Head of Music Marshall Marcus and his team to help them build relationships with member groups. They have also helped members to develop Bernstein Project proposals, finalise budgets, dates and logistics. Ealing Youth Orchestra and the BT Steel Melodians got the Making Music Series off to an energetic start with two participatory events: The West Side Story Experience Parts 1 & 2, and there are six events still to catch. Marshall is very keen to open up the Southbank's spaces and programming to more voluntary music groups ... so watch this space!
