In 2010, Making Music celebrated its 75th birthday and launched its new strategic plan. We are pleased to say that we are stronger than ever: at the time of writing we are just about to sign up our 3,000th member and our range of services, especially digital ones, has never been greater.
As usual in developing our strategic plan we have consulted both widely and deeply with members, partners and key stakeholders and we would like to thank all those who participated.
This is an extremely positive and forward-looking plan, considerably more ambitious than previous ones, and one which will require a renewed focus on objectives and resources. In particular, we need to undertake a significant programme of volunteer management to enhance and strengthen our regional activity.
There are three objectives in our new five year plan, which are:
- Help members flourish
- Increase and diversify our members and the services we offer to our members
- Wider advocacy
