Craig joined Making Music in July 2010 and is very much looking forward to working with our Welsh members and partners and overseeing the future development of Making Music Wales. He is really keen to hear from member groups, potential members and any other interested parties to understand how he can support their activities.
Based in South Wales, Craig has enjoyed a successful career as a professional conductor, tutor, events manager and musical arranger across Wales, the UK and beyond. Craig has worked both at home and abroad on a wide variety of large scale and innovative concert projects with numerous leading professional and voluntary ensembles and artists.
With a background in brass bands Craig has conducted the majority of top bands in Wales and been successful in concert and competition at the highest level. He has toured to Canada, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, North Africa, Russia and the USA, where he has directed at several of the world's largest military shows, including the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo of Canada. Craig still supplies brass tuition to a number of schools and young musicians in South Wales, and he is also a member of the Executive Council of Ty Cerdd.
