Last modified on: 14/11/2010
Sarah joined Making Music in 2006, with a background in marketing, publishing and secondhand bookselling.
She is responsible for the Membership Services team and volunteers in the Making Music office, recruiting new members to the organisation and establishing membership affiliations with umbrella bodies. She ensures that we offer an effective service to our members and that we deliver an increasingly rich variety of core services to members (especially those provided online) to meet the needs of a diverse membership. Sarah organises our annual conference, runs the Award for Young Concert Artists scheme and advises members on areas such as licencing, safeguarding children, and charity issues. She manages the relationship with our membership insurance provider Ecclesiastical, and partnerships with other providers of services to members.
Sarah plays the cello and double bass in Kensington Chamber Orchestra, a member of Making Music, and has recently begun to make her own cello.
