First sentence/ quick summary

About the event:
We're delighted to invite you to our online awards ceremony on Wednesday 8 September, which showcases the wealth of talent and innovative ideas among our members, and those who work with them. The ceremony will follow presentation performances by the winners of the 2021 Philip and Dorothy Green Award for Young Artists (PDGYA) and our annual general meeting (AGM).

Our President, composer Debbie Wiseman OBE, will be announcing the award winners for:
•    Best music creator for leisure-time music group
•    Best arranger for leisure-time music group
•    Best project with a focus on new music
•    Best music director
•    Music group hero (decided by public vote)
•    President’s Award for achievement by a volunteer for Making Music
•    Lady Hilary Groves Prize for an outstanding contribution to music in the community

Our online awards ceremony is fully intended to be as glamorous and enjoyable as it might be in person – so do feel free to dress up and bring a drink!

Everyone is welcome to attend the awards or AGM, or both, but please note only full members of Making Music can vote at the AGM.

Cost: FREE for members and non-members

We will be using Zoom to host the meeting, and will send you full instructions the day before the event on how to join.
