Gráinne Devery, Administrator and Projects Assistant
Gráinne Devery hails from Cork city, Ireland. She completed a Masters in Music at Trinity College of Music, London where she studied bassoon with Stephen Maw. As part of her course she was awarded a Leverhulme Orchestral Mentorship with Andrew Stowell at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and won the Vernon Elliot Bassoon competition at Trinity in February 2007. Gráinne has played with many ensembles including the Ulster Orchestra, Guernsey Symphony Orchestra, Riverside Opera, Orchestra of St. Paul's, and in March 2009 played in a performance of Verdi's Requiem with the Symphony Orchestra of Sri Lanka in Colombo. She performs regularly with the Vesuvio Wind Quintet.
She has been working on the Membership Services Team with Making Music since March 2008. She also looks after the Making Music Labels Service and supports Evan Dawson on national projects with Sound and Music, BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM.
