Elégie: Rachmaninoff - A Heart in Exile LUCY PARHAM - piano HENRY GOODMAN - narrator

A preview performance of Lucy Parham's latest composer portrait in music and words, given with the distinguished actor Henry Goodman, prior to its London premiere at King's Place in April. Russian composer and pianist Sergei Rachmaninoff became an exile in 1917 but his longing for his homeland imbued his music throughout his life.
The programme includes Elégie and a selection of Preludes, Etudes-Tableaux and Moments Musicaux, and excerpts from his letters and diaries.
