Service B Agreement |

How it works
Making Music has negotiated special discounted rates with Ticketing Solutions available only to Making Music member groups. Ticketing Solutions is part of Community Internet plc, a company based in Oxfordshire, founded in 1996, which offers comprehensive internet-based business solutions.
When your group signs up for Service B: Online ticketing you are given a user name and password to access the Ticketing Solutions software through the internet. This will enable you to set up tickets for particular events and keep an eye on how they are selling. You can do this using any computer with an Internet connection and a web browser (e.g. Microsoft Internet Explorer). All you then need to do is to set up a link from your web site to the Ticketing Solutions page for your group and anyone viewing your website will be able to buy tickets online for your concerts.
Your group's Ticketing Solutions web page can be customised in a variety of ways to match as closely as possible the look of your current web site.
To accept credit card bookings online your group needs a Merchant ID. If you already have a Merchant ID for credit card payments you can use this. Otherwise you need to get a Merchant ID. You can get this from your bank: it may cost £100 - £150 and take 3-4 weeks to set up. Alternatively you can get a Merchant ID by paying a one-off fee of £99 via Ticketing Solutions to Netbanx which will set up a Merchant ID almost immediately for you. However if you use Netbanx to do this you will be charged a higher transaction charge per ticket (at least 4%) than if you had sorted out a Merchant ID with your own bank (typically 2%).
When someone buys a ticket from your Ticketing Solutions web page the payment will appear in your group's bank account the following day less the percentage transaction charge automatically taken by your bank (or by Netbanx) and a 50p per ticket charge which is automatically taken by Ticketing Solutions. This charge for the Ticketing Solutions service applies if the overall average value of tickets sold online is more than £6 per ticket. Ticketing Solutions have agreed to offer a special reduced charge for Making Music members of 15p per ticket where the overall average value of tickets sold online is less than £6.00. For this reduced charge to apply any priced tickets can be sold through your web site but the overall average value must be less than £6 per ticket. (If the average ticket price is above £6.00 then the higher priced tickets will attract the fixed rate of 50p per ticket from Ticketing Solutions).
When a ticket is sold online you will receive an automatic e-mail message advising you of the transaction and telling you who to send the actual physical ticket to. One major advantage of online ticketing is that you end up with a complete database of your customers' names and addresses.

The Ticketing Solutions service provision has been engineered with the highest security in mind:

- Engineered for very high transaction rate
- All transactions encrypted using Thwaite encryption services
- Secure data-warehousing and backups

When your group signs up for Service B: Online ticketing you will receive:
- Help documentation for setting up of tickets on the system
- Technical support for initial set up of ticket sales (maximum of 5 support calls per annum per Making Music member)
- Ticketing Solutions will also provide advice and may be able to offer assistance with obtaining a Merchant ID for your society
- Help documentation for Netbanx application (if used)
- Optional modules
Once your group has signed up for Service B: Online ticketing additional marketing features available from Ticketing Solutions (at extra cost) include:
- Membership module
- Email contacts marketing module
- Newsletters
- Links to Portals world-wide which will bring more people to your site and help you sell more tickets
- Sell tickets via WAP enabled mobile phones - with no effort on your part
- Banner advertising
Terms of the Agreement with Ticketing Solutions
For the sum of £8 per month payable by direct debit to Ticketing Solutions:
- The service described above will be provided, for a minimum period of twelve months
- This agreement may be terminated by either party by giving one month's notice after the first anniversary of the agreement.
