Developing your group's website
Service A: Agreement |

Please note that the information and material you provide to Making Music on the form and elsewhere forms part of this agreement.
For the sum of £300 , half (£150) payable by cheque to NFMS Enterprises Ltd in advance together with a signed copy of the form and half payable on completion (as defined below).
Making Music will design and program four web pages (home page, history and description page, forthcoming events page and contacts and link page) using information, text and images provided by the group.
Text must be provided on disk or by e-mail in plain text, rich text format or Microsoft Word 97 format.
If text cannot be provided in electronic format, clear hand-written or typed copy will be accepted for an additional fee of £50 to cover typing costs.
Making Music will scan up to 12 images from clear camera-ready copy but cannot accept bromides.
Images can also be provided on disk or by e-mail in web or PC formats (e.g. JPEG, gif, bitmap etc.) but Making Music may insist on camera-ready copy in preference to poor quality image files.
All pages updated or created by Making Music will conform to the World Wide Web Consortium valid HTML standards - see www.w3.org.
Making Music will open an account with an Internet Service Provider on behalf of the group. This will be a "free" account requiring no ongoing subscription fees for the group although the group will incur local telephone rate charges when connecting to the internet to maintain the site.
Making Music will register a domain name based on the group's name or the group's stated preference subject to availability: the registration fee is included within the cost of this agreement. Please note that continuing use of the domain name will require ongoing hosting charges (typically £30 - £60 per year): these charges are the responsibility of the group. Making Music will not be liable for any ongoing hosting charge associated with domain name registration.
Where the group's preferred domain name is not available Making Music will register an alternative name after first agreeing this with the group.
Making Music will submit the group's web site to at least 6 major search engines. Please note that Making Music cannot guarantee that every search engine will agree to include the site. It should also be noted that details of the site will need to be re-submitted to search engines from time to time to ensure that it is not dropped from the listings: Making Music will only undertake such re-submission as part of Making Music - Service D: Maintenance.
Making Music reserves the right to include links to Making Music web sites on the group's web site.

Making Music reserves the right to edit material supplied by the group: substantial changes will only be made with the prior agreement of the group.
Making Music will complete the above within four weeks of receipt of a signed copy of the form, initial payment and the necessary input materials listed above.
Making Music will then provide the group with details of the Internet Service Provider account opened on its behalf (i.e. telephone number, user name and password necessary to maintain the site) at which point Making Music will make no further alteration or amendment to the site under this contract. Handover of these details to the group will signify completion of this agreement.
