The Making Music insurance scheme for members is provided by the Ecclesiastical Insurance Group (EIG).

Insurance renewal
Renewal of your insurance cover is conducted along with your membership renewal for Making Music.
This takes place in early November, with a return date of mid December. Your group makes a single payment to include membership, insurance and any performing rights royalties, and Making Music does the rest.
Throughout the year if you have any additional insurance requirements these should be handled by Ecclesiastical directly. You can do this by using the contact details as set out above.
Abandonment insurance and extreme weather conditions

Abandonment insurance and swine flu
Abandonment insurance is a useful additional cover to safeguard you against situations where you incur additional costs to avoid cancelling an event due to events beyond your control, for example if your soloist pulls out the day before a concert due to illness. Please check your policy documentation to be sure about what's covered, and what is excluded.
Please note that in the case of swine flu and other communicable diseases, abandonment insurance will not cover if the event is cancelled due to the intended venue having to close down and/or audience members being lower than anticipated following an outbreak. |
