If you are a member of Making Music and have performed a UK premiere, you could nominate your composer for the British Composer Awards...
  The British Composer Awards celebrate the music of classical composers living and working in the UK and Northern Ireland.

The annual Awards are an opportunity for members of Making Music or any voluntary music group to nominate composers for the Making Music Award. To qualify, nominated works must have received their UK premiere in a public performance, either live or broadcast, between 1 April 2009 and 31 March 2010.

The 2009 award, announced in December was awarded to Elizabeth Winters.

  The Adopt a Composer programme gives voluntary music groups the opportunity to work closely on a new piece of music with an emerging composer.
