2010 Membership Renewals

The renewals process and what you need to do as treasurer:

We sent renewal packs to Treasurers in early November. You should have received:

1. From Ecclesiastical: a letter from enclosing a renewal schedule and quoting a policy premium for renewal of insurance.

2. From Making Music: an Annual Payment Form (APF) and covering letter.

What should you do now?

There are two ways to renew

Renew online

If you hold the position of Treasurer or MM Representative for your group you can renew online by visiting http://www.makingmusic.org.uk/services or logging on to the Members' Area of our website.

1. You will need to register using the email address that we hold on our membership database: please contact the office if you would like to question this or advise us of your email address.

2. Once you are registered and/or logged in please click on 'My Groups' and 'Renew membership'.

3. Follow the instructions in the renewals wizard to calculate your membership subscription renewal fee, add your insurance premium (advised by Ecclesiastical) and calculate any PRS payments due.

4. If you wish to make any changes to insurance cover, or if your group has changed its membership category from last year, please contact Ecclesiastical directly on 01452 875694 to be advised of your updated premium.

5. Once you reach the end of the process you will be able to pay by bank transfer, credit or debit card, or cheque.

6. Please use this opportunity to check and update any contact information we hold for your group by going to 'My Groups' and then 'Contact Records'.

To renew online, please follow the link http://www.makingmusic.org.uk/services.

Renew by post

1. Complete the APF as indicated, updating contact information for you and your Making Music Representative. Please let us know your email address which will assist us in our communications with you.

2. Take the figure quoted on your Renewal schedule received directly from Ecclesiastical and enter this in the box provided on the APF.

3. If you wish to make any changes to insurance cover, or if your group has changed its membership category from last year, please contact Ecclesiastical directly on 01452 875694 to be advised of your updated premium.

4. Calculate your Performing Right Society (PRS) payment or declaration and complete and return a PRS slip for each declared concert, attached to a copy of the concert programme. See reverse of APF for details and visit our PRS page for FAQs and to download more copies of the PRS declaration slip.

5. Return your completed payment form with cheque payable to Making Music no later than Monday 15 December to allow for processing your insurance renewal before your policy expires on 31 December. Enclose any PRS slips and programmes for concerts you are declaring to PRS.

Overpayments
To keep down administrative costs it is our policy to write off any overpayments below £5. However, if you have overpaid by £5 or more you will receive a credit note to be used against next year's membership renewal. If you have any questions or concerns about this process or policy please let us know.
