The British Association of Barbershop Singers
The British Association of Barbershop Singers (BABS) has over 60 male choirs and 40 quartets in this growing national organisation. This style of unaccompanied close harmony singing is enjoyed by all ages, the youngest member is 10, the oldest? They are far too polite to say!

BABS was established in 1974 and is now a registered music educational charity, founded on its strong educational principles, that embraces vocal training for individuals and groups, training for choral directors and contest adjudicators. They run 2 residential colleges, plus many one day events. Musical educational grants are available to all.

Everyone is welcome to attend the national convention, which will be held in Scarborough from 25 to 27 May. Over 2500 barbershop singers will be gathering to compete, to harmonise, but above all to have fun!

BABS looks forward to closer contact with other musical organisations through Making Music. You can check them out via their website.
