What else do we do on your behalf?
Whilst Making Music exists primarily to offer specific services to its membership, we also believe it is vitally important that we act as a voice for the voluntary and semi-professional music sector. With over 2,500 groups in our membership, and with the diversity of our members' activities increasing all the time, we are determined to make your voice heard.

Lobbying
Constantly fighting for the interests of music making at all levels through links with the Arts Councils, Government, and Local Government, Making Music ensures that your voice is heard. Read the latest lobbying news to see how we are making a difference.

Grant Giving
Making Music works closely with grant giving bodies, advising on policy and allocation of funds to arts organisations and music groups throughout the UK.

Networking opportunities
Every year Making Music holds up to 30 events (regionally and nationally) for you meet with other music groups and share information and experiences.

Training
Making Music offers a wide variety of training opportunities throughout the year, concentrating on both administrative and artistic skills. Our growing team of dedicated, professional Regional Development Officers across the country will help to ensure that your group is equipped to deal with any aspect of its activities.

Projects
During the past few years Making Music has increased its project work throughout the UK, providing members with unique opportunities to take part in exciting and innovative activities or even to organise these themselves with dedicated funding.
