Two annual awards in honour of Sir Charles Groves and Lady Hilary Groves, both of whom gave exceptional support to Making Music during their lifetimes. |

The Making Music | Sir Charles Groves prizes were established in 1990 to commemorate conductor Sir Charles Groves' 75th birthday.
The awards acknowledge the remarkable contribution of Sir Charles Groves to both voluntary music as a former President of Making Music and to British musicianship and composition. Further, they acknowledge the contribution of Lady Hilary Groves to Making Music as Vice-President and as an ardent supporter of amateur music making in the UK.
Making Music | Lady Hilary Groves Prize
This prestigious prize, a certificate signed by Making Music's patron - the Duchess of Kent, is to be presented annually to an individual of a Making Music member group making an outstanding contribution to Music in the community.
Nominations for this year's award are now closed.
This year's award will be presented to Dr. Maheshwar Godbole from the Indian Classical Music Society.

Making Music | Sir Charles Groves Prize
A national prize, a beautiful trophy, is awarded to an individual or organisation making an outstanding contribution to British music, as selected by Making Music's Board of Management.
