  The British Composer Awards celebrate the music of classical composers living and working in the UK and Northern Ireland.

The annual Awards are an opportunity for members of Making Music or any voluntary music group to nominate composers for the Making Music Award.

At a ceremony and concert at Glaziers Hall the 2007 winners were revealed. The event was hosted by BBC Radio 3's Sara Mohr-Pietsch and Andrew McGregor and the awards were presented by Errollyn Wallen MBE.
