Who we are

At Making Music East, we thrive on supporting and encouraging voluntary music makers to create inspiring work.

From the Thames Estuary to the Derbyshire moorlands, we have over 560 member groups from genres as diverse as African Drumming to Handbell Ringing. Our members come to us for the expert help they need to set up, run and develop music groups in their communities.

We provide support and help to member groups through our small team of volunteers led by Regional Manager Cheryl Bennett. We help members across the East region with local funding applications, advice on audience development and marketing their events.

We're currently recruiting enthusiastic people to join our team of volunteers. If you are passionate about music making and able to commit a few hours each week to help and support member groups across the region then we'd love to hear from you.
