The Repertoire Service is an online searchable database of specific
editions of musical works recommended for performance and promotion by amateur and
semi-professional musicians.
Use the Basic Search to locate a specific work by composer name
and work title. Or enter a composer name alone to retrieve a list of recommended
works by that composer. If you only enter a work title, you will retrieve a list of
recommended works most closely matching that title.
The Advanced Search allows you to locate works most closely
matching criteria such as: composer nationality and/or era, language, duration,
suitability for performance by children's or youth choirs, publisher, choral
and/or instrumental forces, commissioned by a Making Music society.
Search results are in the form of summary lists. Click on the
"View" tab next to any summary to see that work's full details - all the
information held in our database about a specific edition of musical work.
From a work's full details page, you can easily link through to
our bank of programme notes, repertoire advice and commissioning notes.
You can also link through to our Online Music Exchange Scheme to find a society
able to lend you copies or sets of the work.
The Repertoire Service is a work in progress. So if you notice
errors or omissions pertaining to specific works in the database, please email
us using the link on the work's full details page. If you would like to suggest a work for inclusion, please email
