Focus of the conference: Participation
We know making music is not just fun, but stretches the mind, inspires, lifts your spirits and even improves health – not only that of the individual, but of whole communities. Making Music members are expert participants themselves as well as offering many opportunities for those not already involved with music making to take that first step.
So how do you persuade all in the community to join in? How do we encourage the next generation and give them a chance to discover the joys of music making? And how do you make it work in your group?
These, and many other questions, related to participation and access should find a forum for lively debate at this year’s Making Music Conference, so why not join in?
We are delighted to welcome Paul Mealor, composer of Ubi Caritas, broadcast to the world as part of the music at last year’s Royal Wedding, and Wherever You Are, the UK Number One Christmas hit, sung by The Military Wives Choir under Gareth Malone.
