What is My Making Music in the log in panel?

You can do so by navigating through My Making Music > View / edit my details > My user account > Basic details (to add/update your contact details) > Further information (to set preferences/edit your user profile). Once you have saved your details, click on Homepage to start navigating through the site.

Essential tips to set your preferences in the ‘Further information’ page:

• I am: Only selected information from this page will be used to create a public profile page ONLY for those who have opted in to be searchable in our ‘Find a musician’ directory. If none of the ‘I am’ fields apply to you do nothing.
• About me: Share a little about yourself in the ‘About me’ section but note that there is a 400 characters limit. This information will be made available on your public profile page.
• Photo: Upload a photo of yourself to be visible on your public profile page. If you do nothing a default avatar from our website will be used instead.
• Topics of interest: Select the topic you are interested in so that only relevant information specific to your interest will be filtered to the ‘What’s new’ for you section whenever you visit My Making Music.
• Find a musician opt in – I wish to be searchable in Find a Musician: If you are seeking opportunities to perform, conduct or compose a new work with a music group, then you can opt in to be searchable in our ‘Find a musician’ directory, which will be launched soon.
• If you sing, select the fields that apply to you in the ‘I sing’. If you play any stringed, woodwind, brass, percussion and/or keyboard instruments, select the fields that apply to you in the ‘I play ...’.
• User profile page: An option will only be generated in this drop down field only if you have opted in to the Find a musician tool and after you have saved and visit this ‘Further information’ page in the future.

When you are finished, simply click save if you are not automatically directed to the My Making Music page the please click on the ‘My Making Music’ link in the log in panel or simply click on the Homepage to start navigating the site.
