A Culture Strategy for Scotland - Conversation

Registration is closed for this event

The Scottish Government is currently writing A Culture Strategy for Scotland and Making Music has the opportunity to shape its development by representing the views of our members. We hope that this strategy will provide opportunities to celebrate and strengthen Making Music member groups.

The strategy is in the early stages of development and as part of the engagement phase, government researchers are having conversations with individuals, artists, cultural organisations, communities and other sectors across Scotland.  These conversations are helping to develop of the vision and priorities for culture in Scotland.

We’ll be meeting to discuss in an open conversation what Making Music’s input into the development of the strategy should be. We’ll use your thoughts to prepare a response to the questions they have posed:

  • Why is culture important to you?
  • What is good about culture in Scotland and what needs to change?
  • What do you want the future for culture in Scotland to be like?

Please reserve your tickets now to let us know you’re coming and we’ll email you in the week before the event
