Bedford Choral Society

Formed in 1867, Bedford Choral Society is one of the oldest established choral societies in the United Kingdom. A thriving local choir, Bedford Choral Society performs three or four times each year – usually in Bedford’s historic Corn Exchange. We have nearly 130 full-time members – with singers from other local choirs joining us on occasions for particular concerts. Our Director of Music is Ian Smith and our Accompanist Tim Grant-Jones.
Rehearsals take place from 7.15pm to 9.15pm on Mondays evenings in term time at St Joseph and St Gregory’s Catholic Primary School, Biddenham Turn, Bedford MK40 4AT. We are always happy to see new members, and Sopranos and Tenors would be particularly welcome.
