Impromptu Ladies Choir

Impromptu is a Sutton based female voice choir that has been delighting audiences and adjudicators at concerts and competitions for over 25 years. We were very busy year in 2019, competing at the Bournemouth Music Festival, where we were awarded Choir of the Year 2019, and the North Wales Music Festival where we came third in our class. We also held a summer concert which we shared with a fellow local choir and hosted a charity Christmas concert. Obviously this year has been different. We managed one performance in March at a local church event before the national lockdown prevented further performances. We have, however, continued to rehearse virtually every week via Zoom and are paling for 2021 when hopefully we will be able to perform live again. We are a choir of mixed abilities, from sight-readers to those who learn by ear, and there is a great sense of camaraderie and mutual support within the choir.
