Renaissance Choir

The Renaissance Choir is based in Emsworth, Hampshire and is highly regarded by its audiences at home and overseas. Our repertoire imaginatively balances a cappella choral music from the Renaissance period with contemporary works. Thus polyphonic masterpieces by Byrd, Tallis, Victoria and Guerrero rub shoulders with works by Poulenc, Whitacre and Part in our concerts. The choir has performed in many prestigious venues in Europe including Notre-Dame cathedral in Paris and St Peter's Basilica in Rome. The choir is conducted by Peter Gambie who has been our musical director since 1992.
