Tell us your views on music education

We know members are passionate about music education for under-18s and as life-long learners themselves are aware of the benefits of music (appreciation and participation) for everyone, at all stages of their life.

But there are barriers to people engaging with music and we’d like to find out more about what you think those are – and what could be done to address them.

You can do this by:

  • Completing our online survey by 4 June
  • Attending a focus group meeting on Tuesday 5 June, 6.30-8pm in London (there are some travel bursaries available – please contact us as soon as possible)
  • Completing the online survey by the Music Commission by 1 June (read more about the Music Commission)

The results of this consultation will inform our discussion with other organisations and relevant stakeholders, as well as help us formulate our priorities on the advocacy we undertake on music education specifically.

We want to make sure we reflect our members’ views when we’re making submissions on the topic of music education, so do please feed into these consultations in one or all of the three ways available - we really want to know what you think!
