Marketing and Communications Assistant (3 days per week)

Making Music is the UK association for leisure-time music and has over 3,600 music groups in membership with around 200,000 hobby musicians in them.

It offers music groups practical support, including an insurance scheme; guidance on a wide range of issues; artistic opportunities; and connection with similar groups, e.g. through talking, training or performance events. Making Music is also the voice of the leisure-time music sector, celebrating its variety, championing its diverse music and lobbying to make sure its needs are recognised by policy makers.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Marketing & Communications Assistant to join the marketing and communications team part-time for seven months while we work on our new website, which takes up a lot of time – so the team would like your help.

Do you love communicating with all kinds of different people in many different ways, and are you enthusiastic about music? In that case, we would like to hear from you!

We realise that we could miss out on incredible talent joining Making Music because you might not see yourself in every single one of the job tasks or skills in the job description. Please don’t be put off if you feel you don’t tick all of the boxes - if you think you could be great for this job, but aren’t entirely sure, please apply anyway, or contact us at vacancies@makingmusic.org.uk and we will be happy to have a chat or email you back.

For more information about Making Music, see www.makingmusic.org.uk. If you would like more information about the job, please email vacancies@makingmusic.org.uk or ring us on 020 7939 6030.

Please submit your application no later than 9am on Monday 27 September. Interviews will be online on Zoom on Friday 1st October.
