Winners of prestigious St Martin's Chamber Music Prize last season (2017), the Manchester-based Zelkova Quartet has established a reputation as one of the UK's up-and-coming string quartets. The quartet formed in 2016 and works regularly with their mentor Petr Prause, cellist of the Talich Quartet. Their programme brings together works from the rich and diverse repertoire of three of the best quartet composers: Mozart, Mendelssohn and Dvořák.

"Composed and confident in demeanour, setting their own pace throughout…All deftly brought into being, delicate statues against the sky. Visible enjoyment of the music. Vital realisation. All over. Triumph." P.P.O. Kane
