You May Say I'm a Dreamer

Sadly, H.G.Wells’ labelling of WW1 as ‘The War That Will End War’ (1914 book published of that title) has proved less than accurate over the last 100 years.

Taking as a starting point some of the optimism reflected in songs of the day, the Bridgewater Singers will, through literature and music, reflect the reality of that war and attitudes to some subsequent conflicts up to the present day.

We shall journey through the 40s and through the protest movement of the 60s to more recent times. The craftmanship and musicality of, amongst others, Novello, Bryan, Barnes, Seeger, Dylan, Mealor and Lennon will be highlighted. Come and enjoy!
