A Light in the Stable

Chelmsford Singers’ Christmas Concert will be on Dec 7th at 7pm at Christ Church, New London Road, Chelmsford.

They will be performing the cantata “A Light in the Stable” by Alan Bullard with children from Our Lady Immaculate Catholic Primary School, and other carols and festive music for the occasion. They are ably directed by James Davy.

Written in 2014, “A Light in the Stable” is a contemporary piece whose author states “tells the Christmas story through a blend of original settings and well-known carols”. We will also be marking the 80th, 100th and 150th anniversaries respectively of Andrew Carter, David Willcocks and Walford Davies.

Tickets are £12 adult, £5 students and unwaged, with children under 11 years of age free. They are available from chelmsfordsingers.co.uk or James Dace & Son, (01245) 352133.

Chelmsford Singers are a choral society with a reputation for producing quality music since 1912, currently numbering around 50 members. James Davy is the Organist and Master of Choristers at Chelmsford Cathedral and has been Musical Director of Chelmsford Singers since 2012.

Join us for wine, soft drinks and mince pies afterwards.
