Made in Dagenham

Chester Operatic Society stage the musical Made in Dagenham at Storyhouse, Chester, from 24th to 27th June.  Based on the 2010 film of the same name, the story is drawn from the 1968 sewing machinists' strikes at the Ford factories in Dagenham and Halewood.  These strikes were influential in the passing of the Equal Pay Act of 1970, an act which marks its 50th anniversary this year.  An inspirational story of the fight for equal rights!  The musical is humourus and emotive, and contains a collection of wonderful original songs produced and presented on the main stage at Storyhouse, Chester.
