Celebrity Recital - Roderick Williams and Susie Allan

As part of our our "Beethoven 250+" we are delighted to welcome one of the brightest stars of the vocal firmament, Roderick Williams with pianist, Susie Allan. Williams was awarded the Royal Philharmonic Society's "Singer of the Year" award in 2016 and an OBE for services to music in 2017 and  is a familiar figure on opera and concert stages throughout the world. As well as Beethoven's song-cycle "To the Faraway Beloved" their programme includes works by Schubert, Brahms, Mahler, Vaughan-Williams and Finzi, as well as a rare chance to hear the cycle "That Time of Year" by British composer John Joubert who died in 2019.
