Congresbury Singers has performed Stainer's Crucifixion at many churches in North Somerset over recent years. This year Nailsea Methodist Church has invited us to perform this favourite on Tuesday 27 March at 8.00pm. Sir John Stainer's Crucifixion has been a favourite of choirs and listeners from the moment it was written in 1887. This magnificent work includes some of the memorable hymn tunes we shall ever hear and the audience will have opportunities to join in with these. Congresbury Singers is directed by Gordon Pullin, and will be joined for this performance by baritone Bruce Saunders and organist Jean Routley. This is a free performance. There will be a retiring collection for Wellspring Counselling Service.
