Fleet Singers present Benjamin Britten's Ceremony of Carols

The Fleet Singers, community choir based in Gospel Oak, are performing A Ceremony of Carols, one of Benjamin Britten’s best-known and most-performed works. Written in 1942 for 3-part children’s choir, the work is often heard sung by boy trebles but we will be singing a 4-part version for adult choir.
In addition to this work, there will be seasonal readings, songs and instrumental music and we will be inviting the audience to join us in some Christmas Carols.

This will sadly be our Music Director James Davey's last concert with the choir he has guided through its first nine years. He's moved away from London and is pursuing different career opportunities. This concert will be a joyful culmination of our work together before we venture onto different paths in the new year.
