A one day course, hosted by West London Chorus and Hampton Choral Society, under the expert guidance of leading conductors Hilary Campbell and Richard Harker, is designed for choral conductors with some conducting experience, ie music students, aspiring and emerging professionals, music teachers.
The workshop will focus on improving gestural language, rehearsal technique and responsive listening skills (over 18's only).
Participants will be asked to select a first, second and third choice of repertoire to conduct, of which one will be allocated.
Our schedule will include a three-hour morning session, in which participants will conduct and workshop the selected repertoire with Hilary and Richard, followed by a three hour afternoon session with the combined forces of both choirs, culminating in a short, informal performance.
Six places will be available, allocated on a first come, first served basis.
