Members of the public are warmly invited to join the Harpenden Choral Society for their ‘Operatunity’ Workshop - a chance to rehearse and perform an exciting selection of well-known opera choruses under the expert directorship of Chris Hopkins, currently working as conductor and pianist with the English National Opera. Don’t miss this chance to start 2017 off with a musically memorable day on Saturday, January 21st, with the strength of the voices of the HCS behind you.
If you are an opera lover who would like to sing out in a friendly and supportive environment, here’s your chance. The ability to read music would be an advantage and scores will be provided. While lunch is not provided, there are lots of lovely cafés and restaurants nearby. Light refreshments and a chance to socialise will be available during the tea break.
Registration is at 9.30 am. The workshop will run from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm with an hour’s break for lunch, then again from 1.00 pm to 2.30 pm followed by a break for tea and cakes before the final session from 3.00 to 4.00pm.
