THE AURORA DUO

This exciting young chamber duo is formed by Heather Wrighton harp and Emma Halnan flute who both studied at the Royal Academy of Music. Heather was a junior student at Trinity College before moving to the Royal Academy to to work with Karen Vaughan. From a young age Heather has been interested in different types of harps and in addition to the Classical Harp she plays Celtic, Baroque triple and Paraguayan Harps. As a Duo they have performed Mozart’s Flute and Harp Concerto with the European Union Chamber Orchestra and Cyprus Sinfonia and regularly give concerts through the country for music clubs, festivals and Live Music Now. As soloists and orchestral musicians they have appeared at many prestigious venues with major orchestras.

They have chosen a British/French programme including works by Debussy, Saint-Saëns, Paul Lewis, Karl Jenkins, Paul Patterson and William Alwyn.
