Leominster Choral Society invite you to join us to take part in the Easter Stainer's The Crucifixion workshop.
In preparation there will be a Tuesday evening rehearsals on 7th April at 7.30 – 9.30pm in the Baptist Church, Etnam Street, Leominster.
The final rehearsal will be on Good Friday 10th April at 4.00pm in The Priory Church followed by the free concert at 6.00pm
“The Crucifixion”- a work for Passiontide - was completed in 1887and intended to be within the scope of parish church choirs. In addition to the choral sections for Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass it includes a number of recitatives and solos for a tenor and a bass, and five hymns for congregational participation. It is a tuneful and accessible piece, well suited to a “workshop” approach.
