The Centenary of the Revolution: Music from the Time of the Earthquake (Lunchtime Concert)

This performance commemorates the age of revolution, civil war and subsequent years of peace in choral music. The programme includes:

* Excerpts from Alexander Kastalsky's Requiem for Fallen Brothers

* Songs sung by soldiers with the Red and White Armies

* Choruses written by 'proletarian' composers

* Folksongs

* Music for solo piano by Nikolai Metner.

Please note this performance is a shorter version of a 90 minute concert scheduled for 11th June 2017, which is part of the West End Festival.
