The Scottish Chamber Choir continues its 50th anniversary season with the spontaneous drama &poetic storytelling of Bach's St John Passion on Saturday 23rd March 2019, at Canongate Kirk, Edinburgh, accompanied by professional orchestral ensemble Camerata Alba and soloists from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. First performed nearly 300 years ago, this fierce, heart-wrenching realisation of Christ's physical and spiritual journey to the cross still speaks to audiences with a visceral energy and timeless relevance.
