Shall I compare Thee?

The quoted line is from Shakespeare's Sonnet 18 - Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?

In the relaxed atmosphere of the Music Centre (in the Nobel School) we present an early evening of Shakespeare related music.

However don't think this is going to be Elizabethan Music though ... we are singing modern pieces - Bob Chilcott's "Ophelia, Caliban and Miranda", John Rutter's "Birthday Madrigals" and the George Shearing settings of Shakespeare Songs and Sonnets. Songs and Sonnets with swing! An early evening of "very-easy-on-the-ear" music! We will have the Part 4 Jazz Quartet with us providing extra music as well.

Online ticket booking info below - see http://www.stevenagechoral.org.uk for paper tickets by email, phone and post. Of course if you already know a choir member contact them and they can get a ticket for you.
