A Night at the Oscars

An evening of music from the cinema with songs from all genres, old and new. Glitz, glamour, psarkles and ballgowns!

Settle back in your seats and pretend that Hollywood has come to Stone. THere are not just old favourites but some unfamiliar songs too in lovely arrangements for choir. All live sound and no dubbed actors!

Our special guest perfomer for the evening will be Stoke-on-Trent's up and coming star, young Lori Jones-Pullin who narrowly missed being the overall winner of the Stoke-on-Trent Young Musician of the Year 2019. She is certainly a name to remember as an ambitious young singer with her sights set on a career in singing. Lori is no stranger to the stage; she has performed for audiences up and down the length of the country, winning many competitions along the way including the 6 Towns Radio Rising Start Award. For the second year running Lori has won the Senior Vocal Class of Stoke-on-Trent Young Musician of the Year Competition. Lori is also a keen songwriter and has recently been in the studios recording her latest single 'Peace' which is due to be released anytime now. Lori is currently sitting her GCSEs at St. Margaret Ward Catholic Academy in Tunstall and has been studying with Harriet Johnson for the last 3 years.

Popcorn will be available to add to the cinema experience and a film related quiz to keep you on your toes!
