Stowmarket Chorale Singing Day

This singing day will be open to Stowmarket Chorale members and there will be a warm welcome for any visitors who would like to join us.  We will be marking the 150th birthday of Ralph Vaughan Williams with his 'Five Mystical Songs'.  Other repertoire will include Bach's  'O Jesu Christ' and 'Meins Lebens Licht' and Monteverdi's 'Cantate Domino' from European Sacred Music.  On the lighter side there will be some Gershwin arrangements by our Music Director Benedict Collins Rice.    We will have an urn for hot drinks but participants should bring their own food or make use of the town's hostelries.  The day will conclude with an informal sing through at 4 p.m. to which friends and family are invited.
