Sing the World, a Concert of Hope

Teddington Choral Society is delighted and proud to join the Sing the World Tour 2018 for the Street Requiem London premiere.

The "Concert of Hope" is a very special concert which aims to bring awareness about the communities which are confronted to street violence, war and lack of safety all around the world.

The Highland Divas, David Shannon, Battersea Choral Society and the Choir With No Name will also be performing on the night. Some other musical items will be featured on the evening.

Dr Jonathon Welch AM, one of the composers of the Street Requiem, and Sing the World choir will be touring in England and will perform the premiere in London on that evening. This contemporary setting of a traditional requiem mass was written with the aim of bringing a sense of peace, remembrance and hope to communities struggling to come to terms with street violence, war and the loss of safety on our streets. All proceeds from this concert will benefit London charities for the homeless including Streetwise Opera and Choir With No Name.
