The Byrds cordially invite you to join them for their 19th annual singing day, under the skilled direction of their conductor Keith Orrell.
The Music
This year we shall explore madgrigals by Monteverdi and Gesualdo from The Oxford Book of Italian Madrigals. Including:
Gesualdo: Languisco e moro, Luci Serene e chiare, Resta di darmi noia and Cantai, or piango
and
Monteverdi: Ah dolente partita, Ecco mormorar l’onde, Quel augelin che canta and Si ch’io vorrei morire.

12.30 Break for lunch

3.30 Tea & Cake Break
4pm Final sing through, open to guests.
The Nitty-Gritty
The cost of the day is £20, or £5 for full time students under 25; and music will be provided.

Sale United Reformed Church is easily reached from the M60, and Sale Metrolink station is just a short walk away. There is limited car parking at the church and on the surrounding streets; and the car park at St Joseph’s RC Church on Montague Road may also be available.
There are many pubs, restaurants and takeaways in the area; and the hall will remain open for those who wish to bring their own lunch. Tea and coffee will be available, as well as a wide range of cakes, a tombola and a book stall.
