Basingstoke Male Voice Choir - recruiting new Musical Director!

Basingstoke Male Voice Choir, seek a Musical Director to start immediately, following a sudden resignation.. The choir has been in existence for over 50 years and has established an excellent reputation on the choral scene. The choir has a current membership of some 30 voices, covering a range of ages and vocals abilities. We are actively recruiting to increase this number. We rehearse on Tuesday evenings at the United Reformed Church in Basingstoke which is also our home venue. Our repertoire is 'typical male voice' covering a wide range from religious, folk songs, popular music and songs from the shows and should attract applicants of all age ranges. We are always open to extending the repertoire and our new MD will be expected to take us in new directions. We will be looking to appoint a new MD with immediate effect. Our website is Basingstoke Male Voice Choir. The choir also has a Facebook page BMVC Facebook

Whilst an established male voice choir conductor would be preferable, age is not an issue and the position might be suitable for someone committed to the genre of male voice singing and also seeking to develop their conducting skills and help the choir achieve their optimum potential. Whilst local candidates would be ideal it is considered most important to attract the right person who can work with the choir to harness existing abilities and to develop new. It is important that the successful candidate can develop a sound working relationship with the choir and for him/her to develop and grow with the choir to achieve their potential. Enquiries are welcome from both ladies and gentlemen. We value our Musical Director highly and will pay appropriate remuneration. Applications should include a current CV and sent to the Chairman (Malcolm Gallani) at
