Description of vacancy:
Our orchestra is only recently established and we are looking to increase its membership. We play music that ranges from medieval dances through traditional classical pieces to contemporary pop and world music. The ethos for the orchestra is based on creating support and encouragement for players in the early stages of ensemble playing, as well as helping those players returning to their instrument to regain past skills, building versatility and confidence.
We welcome all players who are interested and committed to improving their playing in a friendly and welcoming environment. You will need to be able to attend weekly over three ten week terms. Our aim is to put on three concerts every year.
