Continuo Connect is a concert-finder for music lovers looking for the best of Classical, Baroque, Renaissance and other Early Music events happening across the UK. 

Corporate member Continuo Foundation, a grant-making charity helping live music to flourish in communities across the UK, recently launched Continuo Connect - a non-profit digital hub for all things Early Music.

Join CoMA for a weekend celebration of community and new music as well as its 30th anniversary on 15 and 16 July at St John's Smith Square in London.

Contemporary Music for All (CoMA) since 1993 has supported and provided the opportunities for leisure-time musicians to participate in contemporary music. Their philosophy is that contemporary music should be accessible and open to everyone of all music-making abilities and backgrounds, ‘celebrating participation in new music-making as a meaningful and essential part of our lives.’

Last year, the government consulted on what it was then referring to as Protect Duty, which has resulted in a draft bill – the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2023. 

While this mainly concerns premises, we believe the bill could have some unintended negative consequences for members.

Quietly, working in the background, there are services of enormous importance to leisure-time music groups: the organisations supplying sheet music. That includes music shops and music publishers, but also those unsung heroes, music libraries. 

This usually refers to batches of sheet music held in public libraries and hired to music groups at a cost they can better afford than buying or hiring at commercial rates.
