Wassail! Christmas Concert

On 9th December at All Saints' Church Botley, we are excited to be peforming Alexander L'Estrange's Wassail!, Carols of Comfort and Joy, and other carols. In a departure from our usual Christmas concert format we are delighted to be accompanied by a band of musicians on recorder, piano accordion, percussion and double bass along with our regular accompanist Katherine Jones on piano. This work gives a new angle on some traditional carols alongside new music composed by Alexander. There is an option to include a children's choir but since we are lucky to have strength in numbers of SATB singers this part will be ably covered by our second sopranos.
